COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M Soccer newcomers Grace Cory and Grace Piper were recently honored for the senior seasons of their prep careers.

Cory was named to the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches (TASCO) Girls All-State Class 6A First Team as a midfielder. She also earned All-District 7-6A First Team recognition along with District 7-6A Midfielder Most Valuable Player status.

Piper earned District 16-6A MVP honors for the second consecutive season. She's also a leading candidate to earn Montgomery County MVP recognition.

Cory set the Southlake Carroll High School all-time record for points and ended her career with 85 goals, just two shy of the school record. She logged 222 points on 85 goals and 52 assists over a prep career that spanned 107 matches. The Dragons ended the season with a 23-2-0 mark. Cory helped the squad average nearly six goals a game.

The loss didn't diminish the outstanding senior campaign Cory experienced. She logged 23 goals, including a notching a hat trick in the Dragons' 10-0 win over South Grand Prairie in the opening round of the Class 6A playoffs. The effort against SGP earned her DFW Varsity 6-A Player of the Week accolades. She ended her senior season with 58 points, including 12 assists.

Piper, last season's District 16-6A MVP, notched 16 points this season as a holding midfielder at The Woodlands High School, logging seven goals and two assists. The Highlanders concluded their campaign with a 21-4-1 record.
