COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M's Keeli Milligan was named a Schutt Sports/National Fastpitch Coaches Association's Division I Freshman of the Year Top-10 finalist, the NFCA announced Thursday.

"It is an incredible honor for me to be grouped with such talented young women from across the country," Milligan said. "I want to thank my teammates and coaches, who have pushed me and supported me during my freshman season."

Milligan leads the SEC in stolen bases with 52 and broke Sharonda McDonald's school record of 48 set in 2005. Milligan has scored in 39 games this season and ranks fourth in the SEC in hits with 70. On the season, Milligan is hitting .385 with 53 runs scored, one home run and 11 RBI.

The top three finalists will be voted on and released on Wed., May 25. The Schutt Sports / NFCA Division I National Freshman of the Year trophy will be presented during a live ceremony on May 31 at the Women's College World Series banquet.
