COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M sophomore Ally Watt will travel to Papua New Guinea with the United States Under-20 Women's National Team from May 21-June 1 for training camp and a pair of matches.

The squad will face the Japan U-20 Women's National Team on May 27 and the Papua New Guinea Women's National Team on May 30 as the Americans continue to prepare for the 2016 U-20 Women's World Cup held November 13-December 3. Both matches will be played in the capital city of Port Moresby, where all 32 matches for the World Cup will be contested.

Watt is one of 21 players selected for the trip. She has four goals in five caps with the U-20 squad, currently ranking second on the team in scoring.

The United States earned its berth to the 2016 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup by winning its semifinal match of the CONCACAF qualifying tournament against host Honduras last December and then defeated Canada for the regional title, 1-0.

The United States opens the U-20 Women's World Cup on Monday, Nov. 14 against France at 4 p.m. local time, faces New Zealand on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. and finishes the group against Ghana on Monday, Nov. 21 at 4 p.m.

Watt earned SEC All-Freshman Team recognition in 2015. The Colorado Springs, Colorado native played in 26 matches as a rookie, including 17 starts. She tallied seven goals on the season, including four game-winning goals. Watt also garnered SEC Tournament All-Tournament Team distinction as she helped the squad advance to its third consecutive championship match.
