Champ Opens Play at NCAA Championships

EUGENE, Ore. — Competing as an individual, Texas A&M sophomore Cameron Champ opened the 2016 NCAA Men's Golf Championship with a first round of 74 Friday at Eugene Country Club, finishing the day in a tie for 87th place.

EUGENE, Ore. — Competing as an individual, Texas A&M sophomore Cameron Champ opened the 2016 NCAA Men's Golf Championship with a first round of 74 Friday at Eugene Country Club, finishing the day in a tie for 87th place.

 

The Sacramento, Calif., native was one-under on the back nine during the round, carding birdies on No. 11 and No. 15 to complete the day at four over par.

 

The NCAA Championship resumes Saturday  with Champ teeing off his round at 4:32 p.m. (CT). Results and live scoring from the NCAA Championship can be found at GolfStat.com.
