2016 NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships Quotes
Arthur Rinderknech, Texas A&M Sophomore
On did they expect to make it to the semifinals before the tournament started…
"We know that we are a good team. We are just believing in ourselves and trying to take it match by match. We just want to make it as far as we can in the tournament."
Â
On his match today and their opponent…
"Obviously, today we played pretty bad. We played bad the first two sets, which didn't happen in the first two rounds. We started to fight back in the second set and we began to feel a little bit better. I think we played a really good tiebreaker which really made the difference."
Â
Jackson Withrow, Texas A&M Senior
On expectations of making it this far in the tournament…
"Arthur and I haven't played for about two months together. We took a break trying to get our doubles point for the team event, and we really focused these last two weeks of trying to get back to how we played before we got separated. I think we are the 8th ranked doubles team in the country and we didn't get seeded, and so I think that we believe we can be here. Hopefully we can keep advancing."Â
