Texas A&M was just one of 15 NCAA Div. I universities to have both its men's and women's swimming and diving programs recognized as a Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) and to have finished in the top 25 at the 2016 NCAA Championships.
Â
To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, programs must have achieved a grade point average of 3.00 or higher over the Spring semester. The Texas A&M women's team, which finished fourth at nationals, posted a 3.44 GPA, while the men's team, No. 25 at NCAAs, achieved a 3.02 GPA.
Â
Joining the Aggies in the rare double achievement were Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina State, Ohio State, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas, USC, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin.
