COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M freshman Trey Jimmerson was named the Texas Collegiate League Player of the Week the league announced on Wednesday.

Jimmerson batted .600 (9-for-15) for the Acadiana Cane Cutters over a five-game span, logging four runs, five RBI and one stolen base.

For the season, Jimmerson leads the TCL in batting average with a .389 clip (28-for-72). He has 14 runs, five doubles, one home run, 16 RBI, 11 walks and four stolen bases in 24 games.

Jimmerson did not see action for the Aggies in 2016, redshirting as a true freshman.
