Men’s Golf Reveals 2016-17 Schedule

The Texas A&M men's golf team unveiled it 2016-17 schedule Monday with the Aggies set to tee off competition in early September.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M men's golf team unveiled it 2016-17 schedule Monday with the Aggies set to tee off competition in early September.  
 
The new season will get underway September 4-5 when the Aggies travel to Verona, N.Y., for the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate. The team will next travel to Olympia Fields, Ill., where they will compete in the Olympia Fields Country Club Fighting Illini Invitational for the third consecutive year.
 
Texas A&M will close out the month of September and turn the calendar to October during the three-day Golfweek Conference Challenge which will take place at the Spirit Hollow Golf Club, Burlington, Iowa.
 
Texas A&M's final event of the fall semester will see the team in the Peach State for the U.S. Collegiate Championship which takes place at the Golf Club of Georgia, Alpharetta, Ga., Oct. 21-23.
 
Following a break for the winter months, the Aggies return to the links and head west to compete in the Arizona Intercollegiate which is set to play on Tucson's Sewailo Golf Club, Jan. 23-24. Just a few weeks later, Feb. 15-17, Texas A&M will travel west over the Pacific Ocean to the tropical Hawaiian island of Kaua'i for the John A. Burns Invitational at the scenic Wailua Golf Course.
 
On Feb. 27-29, the Aggies venture across the Sabine River to the Pelican State where they will take part in the Louisiana Classics on Oakbourne Country Club in Lafayette, La.
 
A change of scenery will have the Aggies in the Pacific Northwest March 12-14 for the Bandon Dunes Championship at the Old MacDonald Course in Bandon, Ore., before returning to the east coast for the Valspar Collegiate Invitational at Floridian National Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Fla., March 19-21.
 
Texas A&M's lone home event of the season is slated for April 1-2 when the Aggies host some of collegiate golf's top teams at Traditions Club during the 2017 Aggie Invitational.
 
The SEC Championship will again be held at Sea Island Golf Club in St. Simons Island, Ga., on April 21-24 before NCAA Regionals take place May 15-17 at various campus sites.
 
The 2017 national champion will be crowned during the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill., May 26-31.
