COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The No. 8 Texas A&M Aggies head to Tampa for an exhibition match against the No. 7 Florida Gators on Monday evening. The squads will play a friendly at Ed Radice Field at 6 pm Central.

There will be no video or audio streaming available for the match. Fans may keep abreast of the match action via Twitter @AggieSoccer.
Â
This season, Florida and Texas A&M are not set to face each other during the conference season. The two squads have accounted for all of the league's regular-season titles since the Aggies joined the league in 2012.
Â
"We only play 11 regular-season SEC games due to the mathematics of how the RPI calculates with just 20 matches," Guerrieri said. "It's unfortunate that 2016 is the season where the conference's two most celebrated programs don't play in the regular season. That's why Texas A&M and Florida are getting together for an exhibition in Tampa. It will be a great learning experience opportunity for our players away from home. And, you never know, the Aggies and Gators might see each other again in the 2016 post-season."
Â
The contest serves as an audition for an Aggie squad that includes 18 returning letterwinners and eight newcomers with an inflammable enthusiasm.
Â
Texas A&M is buoyed by a cast of 10 returning starters, including All-American midfielder Mikaela Harvey and All-SEC forward Haley Pounds.
Â
The Aggies last traveled to Florida for an exhibition match in 2011 when they toppled UCF in Orlando in 2-1. In 2008 the Maroon and White played Florida International in a preseason match in Bradenton, prevailing 3-1.
Â
Florida boasts eight returning starters including three-time All-American forward Savannah Jordan. The Gators finished 19-4-1 overall last season and claimed the SEC regular-season title with an 8-2-1 mark. Florida bested Texas A&M 2-1 in the SEC Tournament championship match and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Championship, falling to Duke, 2-1.
Â
The Aggies will play another exhibition match on Saturday, August 13 when they travel to Stillwater, Oklahoma for a 7 pm fixture against the Oklahoma State Cowgirls.
