The Texas A&M football team will sign autographs for fans at the 2016 Fan Appreciation Day / Meet the Aggies presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors from 1-2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20 at the Gilliam Indoor Track Complex.

COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M football team will sign autographs for fans at the 2016 Fan Appreciation Day / Meet the Aggies presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors from 1-2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20 at the Gilliam Indoor Track Complex.

"This is a great event and we hope to see a lot of young Aggie fans come out and interact with the football team," Aggie head coach Kevin Sumlin said. "I think our players enjoy this event just as much as the youngsters."

Doors to the complex, which is located at the south end of Kyle Field adjacent to Wellborn Road, will open at 12 noon to allow the line to begin forming inside the facility.

Fans participating in "Meet the Aggies" will receive an autograph card. In order to accommodate as many fans as possible, this will be the one and only item coaches and players will sign. They will also remain seated to sign, so there will not be an opportunity for posed photographs. A limited number of 2016 schedule posters will also be available.

No other items—for example, helmets, footballs, jerseys and photos – will be allowed in the Gilliam Indoor Track Complex.

Parking for the event is free in any open lot on the Texas A&M campus. Consult the Texas A&M Transportation Services website at parking.tamu.edu for more information. The best advice is to park in the West Campus Parking Garage and walk through the Pickard Passageway under Wellborn Road and up to Kyle Field.

Parents of children will have the opportunity to register their kids with the Junior Aggie Club (JAC), which gives members free admission to over 160 athletic events through the school year.

The Aggie squad will have to depart promptly at 2:30 p.m. in order to prepare for that day's practice, which is closed to the public

Texas A&M kicks off its 2016 football campaign against UCLA at 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 3 at Kyle Field.
