The Texas A&M's women's golf team announced its 2016-16 schedule on Monday, highlighted by four tournaments in the state of Texas.
The Aggies open their season at the Schooner Fall Classic at Belmar Golf Club in Norman, Oklahoma from Sept. 24-26. The Aggies are playing in the event for the fourth straight season, led by Top 3 finishes the last two seasons.
Texas A&M's continues its fall at the Jim West Challenge (Oct. 9-10) at The Club at Carlton Woods in The Woodlands and then Alamo Invitational (Oct. 23-25), at Briggs Ranch Golf Club in San Antonio, a course that has produced three of the best four single-tournament scores in Aggie history.
Texas A&M closes the fall at the Trinity Forest Invitational (Nov. 7-8), hosted by SMU at Trinity Forest Golf Club.
The Aggies tee off in the spring starting at the Florida State Match-Up (Feb. 10-12) at the Southwood Golf Club in Tallahassee, Fla. The Aggies' continue the spring at The Dickson (Mar. 14-15) at The Woodlands Country Club. Texas A&M continues the spring season with the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational (Mar. 14-15) at Kane'ohe Klipper Golf Course in Kane'ohe, Hawai'i, and the Clemson Invitational (Mar. 31-Apr. 2) in Sunset, S.C. at The Reserve at Lake Keowee.
The 2017 SEC Championship is April 14-16 at Greystone Golf & Country Club in Hoover, Ala. Should Texas A&M advance to their 17th straight NCAA Regional, competition is held on May 8-10 in Greenville, N.C., Columbus, Ohio, Lubbock, Texas or Albuquerque, N.M. The NCAA Championships are May 19-24 in Sugar Grove, Ill.
The Aggies return all five lineup golfers from a team that qualified for NCAA Regionals for the 16th straight season and finished 2015-16 ranked 25th in the final Golfstat rankings.
