CAMBRIDGE, Ontario, Canada- Texas A&M sophomore Maddie Szeryk shot an even par 72 in the second round of the LPGA Manulife Classic at Whistle Bear Golf Club, but missed the 36-hole cut by just two strokes, tying for 93rd.
Szeryk, playing in an LPGA event for the second straight week, had five birdies this week on the par 72 / 6,613 yard course. She needed just 24 putts on the day, averaging 1.39 putts per hole in the tournament.
Szeryk has now shot par-or-better in the second round of all three LPGA Tournaments she has played this season. She has a 72.57 stroke average in seven LPGA rounds this season.
Szeryk, a two-time All-SEC selection, is tied for Texas A&M's all-time career stroke average lead entering 2016-17, where she and the Aggies attempt to qualify for NCAA play for the 17th consecutive season.
