SEC Reveals Men’s Basketball Conference Schedule

The Aggies' defense of their first SEC title will begin inside the friendly confines of Reed Arena on Dec. 29 as Texas A&M hosts Tennessee to kick off league play. The Southeastern Conference officially unveiled its 126-game men's basketball schedule for the 2016-17 men's basketball campaign Friday morning.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Aggies' defense of their first SEC title will begin inside the friendly confines of Reed Arena on Dec. 29 as Texas A&M hosts Tennessee to kick off league play. The Southeastern Conference officially unveiled its 126-game men's basketball schedule for the 2016-17 men's basketball campaign Friday morning.
 
The Aggies' slate includes home contests against Tennessee (Dec. 29), LSU (Jan. 11), Arkansas (Jan. 17), Georgia (Jan. 21), Vanderbilt (Jan. 31), Missouri (Feb. 8), Auburn (Feb. 18), Alabama (Feb. 25) and Kentucky (March 4).
 
Additionally, Texas A&M will face Kentucky (Jan. 3), South Carolina (Jan. 7), Mississippi State (Jan. 14), Ole Miss (Jan. 25), LSU (Feb. 4), Florida (Feb. 11), Vanderbilt (Feb. 16), Arkansas (Feb. 22) and Missouri (Feb. 28) away from College Station.
 
Texas A&M is coming off one of the best seasons in school history as the Aggies' captured a school record 28 victories a year ago while claiming their first SEC regular season title and advancing to the Sweet 16 for the fifth time in school history.
 
The Aggies return eight lettermen, including SEC All-Freshman Team performers in center Tyler Davis and forward DJ Hogg as well as key contributors, center Tonny Trocha-Morelos and guard Admon Gilder.
 
Additionally, a second consecutive top-20 recruiting class (No. 18 by both ESPN and 247 Sports) joins the foil as the Aggies gun for a third straight 20-win campaign under head coach Billy Kennedy, who is entering his sixth season in College Station.
 
Each of the games can be seen from anywhere in the nation. SEC?Network will televise 68 games, ESPN or ESPN2 will televise 32 contests, ESPNU?20 and CBS Sports six. The SEC's games on ESPN platforms are exclusively branded as the "SEC?on ESPN."
 
All of the games included in the ESPN package (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and SEC Network) will also be available through WatchESPN, which is accessible on computers, smartphones, tablets and connected devices to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider. Each of the CBS Sports games will be available to stream live in more than 150 U.S. markets via the CBS All Access subscription service, with additional coverage on CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports app.
 
The SEC Network will televise the first three days of the SEC Basketball Tournament (March 8-12) from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn. The semifinals and championship game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
