Aggies Among Ranked in Initial ITA Fall Rankings

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M Junior Arthur Rinderknech opens the fall season at No. 9 in the initial Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings, published by the ITA Tuesday morning. Additionally, Texas A&M boasts a pair of ranked doubles teams in the Sept. 13 rankings.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M Junior Arthur Rinderknech opens the fall season at No. 9 in the initial Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings, published by the ITA Tuesday morning. Additionally, Texas A&M boasts a pair of ranked doubles teams in the Sept. 13 rankings.
 
Rinderknech, an All-American a season ago, earned NCAA Doubles Championship runner-up honors alongside Jackson Withrow in May. The Paris, France, native finished last season at No. 20 in singles and No. 5 in doubles. The right-hander will open his junior year with a 43-16 singles ledger and a 53-16 doubles tally.
 
Senior Max Lunkin is slated to partner with Rinderknech this fall, the duo are ranked No. 20 to open the campaign after going 11-1 together last season. Joining Lunkin and Rinderknech in the doubles rankings are juniors AJ Catanzariti and Jordi Arconada, who checked in at No. 51.
 
The Aggies are looking forward to another successful year after the team finished the 2015-16 season ranked No. 14 in the ITA poll. The Maroon & White return to the courts this fall with an impressive slate of tournaments including the ITA All-American in Tulsa and ITA Indoor Championships in New York.
