COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M men's tennis team is set to begin the 2016-17 season at the Harvard Chowder Fest in Boston, Mass., Friday. In addition to the Maroon & White, the Chowder Fest is set to feature athletes from Illinois, Notre Dame and host-school Harvard as competition will last through Sunday.
Nearly the full complement of Aggies will compete in Beantown, headlined by the 51st ranked doubles duo of juniors AJ Catanzariti and Jordi Arconada. Seniors Frankie Colunga, Max Lunkin and James Martell look to begin their final season in Aggieland on the right foot, while the sophomore duo of Kevin Lam and Aleksandre Bakshi aim to impress. Friday will also mark the collegiate debut of freshman Hady Habib.
The Aggies are looking forward to another successful year after the team finished the 2015-16 season ranked No. 14 in the ITA poll. The Maroon & White return to the courts this fall with an impressive slate of tournaments including the ITA All-American in Tulsa and ITA Indoor Championships in New York.
