Texas A&M golfer Bianca Fabrizio is tied for 18th after the two rounds at the World Amateur Team Championships in Mexico. Her Texas A&M teammate, Maddie Szeryk, sits in a tie for 60th after the conclusion of the second round.

Fabrizio, who came in to play in a tie for ninth, shot a three over par 75, while Szeryk carded a 6-over par 76 at the Iberostar Playa Paraiso Golf Club.

Szeryk helped Canada climb the leaderboard from 23rd to 10th after Thursday's play, one stroke in front of defending champions Australia. Fabrizio, representing Italy, lead her team in scoring for the second straight day as they sit in a tie for 18th.

The pair will begin the third round of the four day event on Friday morning.

55 countries are represented at the 72-hole tournament, which will conclude on Saturday. The two lowest scores from each three-person team count in each round, and the country with the best four-day total receives the Espirito Santo Trophy.

Szeryk, a two-time All-SEC selection, is tied for Texas A&M's all-time career stroke average lead entering 2016-17. Fabrizio won the SEC Championship as an individual in 2015, and ranks sixth on the Aggies' career stroke average list.

Fabrizio and Szeryk pick up collegiate play for the Aggies on Sept. 24 at the Schooner Fall Invite in Norman, Okla. as Texas A&M seeks to qualify for NCAA competition for the 17th consecutive season
