COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M Equestrian team enters the 2016-17 season ranked fourth in the National Collegiate Equestrian Association's Preseason Rankings, the NCEA announced Tuesday.

The Aggies, who are coming off a semifinal appearance at last year's NCEA Championship, begin the season on the road at UT Martin on Friday at noon CT.

Defending national champion Auburn sits atop the rankings followed by Georgia and TCU, while Baylor rounds out the top five.

Oklahoma State, the 2016 Big 12 Conference champion, is ranked sixth, preceding SMU, South Carolina, Fresno State and Delaware State to close out the rankings.

The 2017 NCEA Championship will take place April 13-15 at the Extraco Events Center in Waco, Texas.
