2016-17 Schedule Opens in a new window
Texas A&M released its 2016-17 women's basketball on Tuesday, a slate that features 12 games against 2016 NCAA Tournament teams and 12 broadcasts on national television.

"I think this is another challenging schedule, just like we usually play, that will leave us with a good RPI at the end of the season," said Texas A&M head coach Gary Blair. "The SEC schedule is challenging, especially with playing Florida, LSU and Mississippi State twice. This schedule will make our young team get better in a hurry."

SEC play sees the Aggies host Vanderbilt (Jan. 2; 6 p.m.; SEC Network), Arkansas (Jan. 12; 7 p.m.; SEC Network +), LSU (Jan. 22; 4 p.m.; SEC Network), Florida (Feb. 2; 7 p.m.; SEC Network +), Auburn (Feb. 5; 1 p.m.; SEC Network), Alabama (Feb. 9; 7 p.m.; SEC Network +), Mississippi State (Feb. 19; 4 p.m.; SEC Network) and South Carolina (Feb. 23; 8 p.m.; SEC Network).

The Aggies' SEC schedule is rounded out by road tests against Georgia (Jan. 5; 6 p.m.; SEC Network +), Kentucky (Jan. 8; 1 p.m.; SEC Network), Florida (Jan. 15; 12 p.m.; SEC Network), Missouri (Jan. 19; 8 p.m.; SEC Network), Mississippi State (Jan. 29; 3 p.m.; SEC Network), Tennessee (Feb. 12; 1 p.m.; ESPNU), LSU (Feb. 16; 7 p.m.; SEC Network +) and Ole Miss (Feb. 26; 4 p.m.; SEC Network).

Texas A&M's home schedule opens on Nov. 13, hosting Central Arkansas, the first of 15 games at Reed Arena during the 2016-17 season. Texas A&M starts with five of their first six games at Reed Arena, including Power 5 non-conference matchups with Texas Tech (Nov. 17; 7 p.m.; SEC Network +) and Southern Cal (Nov. 30; 11 a.m.; SEC Network +) for the fourth annual Elementary School Day game.

Trips to Little Rock (Nov. 23; 6:30 p.m.), the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex, where the Aggies take on SMU (Dec. 5; 7 p.m.) and TCU (Dec. 8; 7:30 p.m.; Fox Sports 1), and the Florida Sunshine Classic highlight the non-conference road schedule. The Aggies face Dayton (Dec. 20; 12 p.m.) and 2016 NCAA Runner-Up Syracuse (Dec. 21; 2:15 p.m.) in the Florida Sunshine Classic, which takes place in Winter Park, Florida, just outside of downtown Orlando.

Fans can get a first look at the 2016-17 Aggie squad with an exhibition against Oklahoma City on Nov. 5 (SEC Network +). In addition, Stephen F. Austin (Nov. 20; 4 p.m.; SEC Network +), Abilene Christian (Nov. 26; 6 p.m; SEC Network +), Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Dec. 10; SEC Network +) and Prairie View A&M (Dec. 28; 7 p.m.; SEC Network +) visit Reed Arena.
