NORMAN, Okla.- The Texas A&M women's golf team, ranked No. 20 in the preseason by Golfweek, opens the season on Saturday as they head to Norman, Oklahoma for the Schooner Fall Classic at Belmar Golf Club.

The Aggies' lineup will include two time All-SEC performer Maddie Szeryk, along with seniors Andrea Jonama and Thanya Pattamakijsakul who together paced the Aggies at last year's event finishing in a tie for 6th.  Rounding out the lineup are senior Bianca Fabrizio and freshman Courtney Dow, playing in her first tournament as an Aggie.

Joining Texas A&M in the 12-team field are hosts Oklahoma along with No. 17 Florida State, Mississippi State, Notre Dame, Texas State, No. 6 Alabama, Clemson, Kent State, LSU and No. 22 Iowa State. The 54-hole tournament will run for three days on the par 71 / 5,901 yard course.

The Aggies took home second place at last year's tournament finishing seven strokes back of champion Oklahoma State. It was Texas A&M's second consecutive top-3 finish at the Classic. A final round -10, the third best mark in program history, allowed the Aggies to shoot up the leaderboard and into contention.

Live scoring for the Classic is available through Birdiefire. After the event, the Aggies will head to the Woodlands for the Jim West Classic hosted by Texas State from Oct. 9-10.
