Women's Golf In Fourth Place At Maryb S. Kauth Invitational

SAN ANTONIO, Texas- Texas A&M's women's golf team sits in fourth place after the first of three rounds at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational at Briggs Ranch Golf Club. Four Aggies are in the top 25 individually.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas- Texas A&M's women's golf team sits in fourth place after the first of three rounds at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational at Briggs Ranch Golf Club. Four Aggies are in the top 25 individually.

Thanya Pattamakijsakul leads the Aggies individually, shooting a 1-under 71, marking her fifth straight round of par-or-better. Pattamakijsakul is tied for ninth in the tournament after one round, six strokes behind tournament leader Alana Uriell of Arkansas, who shot a 65 (-7).

As a team, the Aggies shot a 2-over 290, and are in fourth place. Mississippi State leads the tournament with a 4-under 284.

Freshman Courtney Dow had her collegiate-best round with an even par 72, and is tied for 15th. Bianca Fabirizo is tied for 20th with a 1-over 73. Maddie Szeryk is tied for 25th after shooting a 2-over 74.

Andrea Jonama fired an 8-over 80 to tie for 69th place. Competing as an individual, Callie Scheffler shot a 77 (+5) and is tied for 54th place.

The Aggies return to the par 72 / 6,450-yard Briggs Ranch Golf Club for the second round of the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational on Monday, October 24.
