Texas A&M Quotes
Head Coach Jo Evans
On Lexi Smith's no hitter...
"I thought Lexi Smith was really good on the mound tonight. She threw the ball hard, and she mixed up her speeds. I just like her presence out there. You can tell she is having fun and she is so competitive it's in her nature. It's really fun to have her leading our team from the circle."
On tonight's offensive output...
"We were overdue. We had struggled a little bit offensively and it was nice to see our kids to start to hit throughout the lineup, hitting balls in the gap, getting some power out of [Sarah] Hudek and [Erin] Houthoofd. When you hit one through nine like that and you recognize the kind of talent that we have, it is exciting. I think our kids are energized and feel good about themselves. It was time for us to put up some big numbers so I was happy to see that."
