TULSA, Okla. – Junior Arthur Rinderknech will represent Texas A&M men's tennis in the second round at the 2016 Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championship Main Draw, Friday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Main draw singles and doubles matches began Thursday with singles and doubles finals scheduled for Monday, Oct. 10.
No. 9 Rinderknech topped No. 44 Strong Kirchheimer of Northwestern, 6-4, 7-5, Thursday morning. The Paris, France native, will take on No. 37 Alfredo Perez of Florida on Friday. Rinderknech and senior Max Lunkin suffered a tough three-set defeat to Gergely Madarasz and Ricardo Medinilla of Purdue, 6-3, 6-7(6), 1-0(5). The Maroon & White clad duo will take part in the consolation draw beginning on Friday.
