COLLEGE STATION- Texas A&M women's basketball hosted its annual Maroon & White Scrimmage on Wednesday inside Reed Arena, with the Maroon team downing White 66-55. Khaalia Hillsman led the scrimmage with 20 points.
Joining Hillsman in double figures were Danni Williams, who made four 3-pointers and scored 18 points, Curtyce Knox (14) and Taylor Cooper (10). Cooper had an assist to Hillsman for a buzzer-beating layup in the second quarter and had a late steal-and-score in the fourth quarter.
The event featured two quarters with the team scrimmaging against each other, and two quarters where the entire women's team scrimmaged as the Maroon team against the men's practice team, playing as the White team.
The Aggies host Oklahoma City at 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 5 in an exhibition game, then open the regular season on Sunday, November 13 against Central Arkansas at 6 p.m.
