Texas A&M men debut at No. 14 in CSCAA Top 25 poll

After an impressive start to the 2016-17 season, the Texas A&M men's swimming and diving team debuted at No. 14 in the most recent edition of the College Swimming Coaches Association of America top 25 poll.

After an impressive start to the 2016-17 season, the Texas A&M men's swimming and diving team debuted at No. 14 in the most recent edition of the College Swimming Coaches Association of America top 25 poll.
 
The Aggies are 2-1 in dual meet action with wins over Incarnate Word and South Carolina and a near-miss loss against current No. 9 Florida last weekend. Texas A&M posted 10 NCAA "B" swimming cuts or zone qualifying diving scores against the Gators.
 
Going into next week's Art Adamson Invitational, the Aggies have posted 11 swimming times that rank among the top 50 in the college ranks this year. Leading the way for the Aggies in the nation's best times list are juniors Mauro Castillo and Brock Bonetti. Castillo ranks No. 3 in the 200-yard breaststroke (1:57.53), No. 5 in the 200 breast (54.18) and No. 10 in the 200 IM (1:47.40), while Bonetti ranks No. 6 in the 200 back (1:44.62) and No. 12 in the 100 back (47.67).
