Texas A&M senior Sarah Gibson was named Southeastern Conference Swimmer of the Week by CollegeSwimming.com after standout performances last week against No. 4 Texas and No. 16 Florida.
In the Aggies' win over SEC foe Florida, Gibson logged a trio of victories with 100- and 200-yard butterfly and the 1,000-yard freestyle. Both her times in the 100 and 200 fly were NCAA "B" cuts. Against the Longhorns, Gibson posted runner-up finishes in the 200 fly and the 500 free.
Going into next week's Art Adamson Invitational, Gibson ranks in the top 15 nationally in three races -- the 1,000 free (No. 9 / 9:49.15), 100 butterfly (No. 11 / 53.68) and 200 butterfly (No. 8 / 1:57.59).
