ATLANTA, Georgia – Texas A&M standouts Kohl Anderson and Sarah Shaw are among 26 current and former Southeastern Conference student athletes who participated in the first SEC Corporate Career Tour in Atlanta. The three-day event which wrapped up Thursday was held in conjunction with the 2016 SEC Fall Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Meeting.

During the event, the student-athletes visited the headquarters and met with executives and talent acquisition staff at several corporations in the Atlanta area, including Chick-fil-A, Boys & Girls Club of America, CNN/Turner Broadcasting System and Jack Spalding. The agenda also included a presentation from Serviam Partners President Randy Hain, Growing Leaders, and former SEC student-athletes Ben Troupe and Josh Foliart on leadership and life after sports.

The Fall SAAC Meeting included a unique first-time experience for meeting participants. The event focused on providing a corporate career tour as part of the SEC Career Academy. Job opportunities and advice were introduced to the student-athletes seeking career options and exposure.

Anderson, named to the 2015 SEC Community Service team in track and field, continues to be active in community and volunteer projects while representing the track and field program as a member of SAAC.  This is the second time he has represented Texas A&M in the SEC Fall SAAC Meeting.

Anderson, who also works in the office of the Board of Regents, recently had the honor of introducing Texas A&M President Michael K. Young during the State of the University address held in October.

In November, Shaw was named to the SEC Community Service Team for the second consecutive season. A four-year letterwinner, Shaw recently had her a non-profit organization she founded, Goals for Bowls, certified by the state of Texas. The charitable organization will donate soccer balls and meals to children in Nepal and Ghana.

During her career, Shaw appeared in 29 matches, including six starts. She scored two goals in 2016, including the game-winner in Texas A&M's 1-0 victory against Georgia. In 2015, Shaw notched the decisive penalty kick in a shootout against Ole Miss to send the Aggies to the NCAA Championship quarterfinal.
