
Texas A&M’s Gibson earns gold medal at FINA World Swimming Championships

WINDSOR, Ontario, Canada – Texas A&M senior swimmer Sarah Gibson earned a gold medal as part of Team USA's 400-yard medley relay on the final day of the FINA World Swimming Championships on Sunday.
Gibson, from San Antonio, Texas, swam the butterfly leg on the relay in the morning prelims. She didn't swim in the final as Team USA won by nearly a full second over Team Canada with a time of 3:47.89.
Earlier in the evening session, Gibson placed sixth in the 100-meter butterfly with a time of 57.22.
