Texas A&M and Florida are two of the three teams with three losses in SEC play, battling for the conference's No. 2 seed behind South Carolina. The Aggies sit a half-game behind Florida and Mississippi State, by virtue of having played one fewer game. The winner of this game will be no further than a half-game out of second place. This is a stretch of six ranked opponents in seven games for the Aggies.
The Aggies have played four consecutive games that have come down to the final minute, including two close losses to No. 2 South Carolina. A&M features the leading scorer in the SEC, Courtney Walker, who has posted 20+ points in five of the Aggies' eight SEC games.
Florida, off their best 22-game start since 2009, is led by reigning SEC Freshman of the Week Eleanna Christinaki, who is averaging 10.8 points and has 87 assists on the season. Christinaki sealed victory by scoring the final five points of the Gators' 85-79 win against No. 12 Kentucky on Sunday.
After this game, the Aggies return home on Sunday, February 7 to host No. 23 Tennessee at 3 p.m.
