Walker Scores 31, But No. 10 Women Fall At Buzzer To No. 22 Florida 83-81

GAINESVILLE, Fla.- Courtney Walker scored a career-high 31 points, but No. 22 Florida held off No. 12 Texas A&M in the closing seconds for a 83-81 victory in a women's basketball game at the O'Connell Center on Thursday.
The Aggies (15-7, 5-4 SEC) rallied from a 7-point deficit with 6:21 to play to draw within two with 3.2 seconds to play, but Jordan Jones' game-tying attempt fell short as the buzzer sounded.
Walker had a career-high 31 points, her first career 30+ point game. The game marked her 30th 20+ point game, which ties her with Danielle Adams for the most 20+ point games in an A&M career.
Florida (19-4, 7-3 SEC) shot 57.1% (8-of-14) on 3-pointers.
The Aggies led by as many as eight points in the third quarter, but Florida responded with 34 points in the frame, capped by a Simone Westbrook 3-pointer at the third quarter buzzer to put the Gators up five.
Walker was joined in double figures by Chelsea Jennings (11) and Khaalia Hillsman (10).
Texas A&M returns to action on Sunday, February 7 at 3 p.m. to host No. 23 Tennessee at Reed Arena. It is the Aggies' first regular season game broadcast on ESPN.
