COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M Aggies were honored for their character and integrity, earning the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Bronze Award.

Of the 64 NCAA Division I Championship participants, only three were recognized with an ethics and sportsmanship award, including Texas A&M, UNLV and Northern Kentucky.

The Bronze Award is granted to any team that accumulated yellow cards numbering between 31-50% of the games played.

The Aggies were one of just 13 NCAA Division I women's squads to earn one of the NSCAA Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Awards. No Division I team went the entire season without accumulating any cards, thus no Platinum Award was granted. Central Connecticut State, Tennessee Tech and William & Mary earned the Gold Award (no red cards and yellow cards numbering no more than 10% of games played).

In all, only 100 men's or women's soccer teams across the three NCAA divisions, the NAIA and junior college ranks earned an ethics and sportsmanship award, including nine Platinum, 15 Gold, 57 Silver and 19 Bronze.

The Aggies also earned the NSCAA Ethics and Sportsmanship Bronze Award in 2014.

Texas A&M wrapped up the season with a 12-8-2 mark. The Maroon and White earned a bid to their 22nd consecutive NCAA Championship and advanced to the second round of the tournament for the 19th straight season.
