COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M men's tennis team is No. 16 in the 2017 preseason Oracle/ITA Men's National Team Rankings, released this week by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

In the individual rankings, junior Arthur Rinderknech begins the spring season ranked No. 16 in the singles poll and No. 7 alongside senior Max Lunkin in the doubles poll. Rinderknech earned All-America honors after appearing in the NCAA Doubles Championship match alongside Jackson Withrow last summer.

Aggie head coach Steve Denton will embark on his 11th season at the reigns of the Maroon & White squad, returns eight players from last year's team that went 27-10 and finished with a No. 14 national ranking after advancing to the second round of the NCAA Championship. He also welcomes a pair of highly touted freshman to the roster in Hady Habib and Valentin Vacherot.

The Southeastern Conference and Big 12 lead the nation with six men's teams listed in the ITA preseason top 25. In addition to the five ranked SEC teams on the Texas A&M schedule this spring, the Aggies are slated to face No. 3 Ohio State, No. 7 TCU, No. 22 Baylor, No. 23 Texas Tech and No. 25 South Florida.
