Texas A&M junior golfer Maddie Szeryk tied for fourth at the 92nd Mexican National Amateur Tournament, shooting an 8-over 294 for the four round tournament.
Szeryk's tournament was highlighted by a 2-under 70 on Wednesday at the Club de Golf Bellavista. Szeryk shot 77-74-70-75 to finish 8-over, nine strokes off of tournament champion Isabella Fierro.
Szeryk has now finished in the top 15 of two of the amateur championships in North America this year, finishing 14th at the Canadian Women's Amateur in July. She tied for 94th at the U.S. Women's Amateur.
For Texas A&M this season, Szeryk is averaging 70.30 strokes per round, which is on pace to break the school record. She has three top 10 finishes in four events this season.
Szeryk and the Aggies resume the collegiate season from Feb. 10-12 at the Florida State Match-Up in Tallahassee, Fla.
