No. 23 Women's Golf In Third After Two Rounds At Florida State Match-Up

The No. 23 Texas A&M women's golf team is in third after the second of three rounds at the Florida State Match-Up, shooting an even-par 288 at the Don Veller Seminole Golf Club on Saturday.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-  The No. 23 Texas A&M women's golf team is in third after the second of three rounds at the Florida State Match-Up, shooting an even-par 288 at the Don Veller Seminole Golf Club on Saturday. Four Aggies are in the top 25 individually after two rounds.
 
"I am really proud of how we battled after a rough start to stay in contention today," said Texas A&M head coach Trelle McCombs. "We really rallied on the back nine to put up respectable scores today."
 
Junior Maddie Szeryk, the defending champion of this event, shot an even-par 72 to sit in a tie for second at 138 (-6), one stroke behind tournament leader Morgane Metraux of Florida State. Senior Bianca Fabrizio, the 2015 individual champion, shot a 1-under 71 to tie for 11th after two rounds at 143 (-1).
 
Thanya Pattamakijsakul shot a 1-over 73 and is tied for 21st at 146 (+2). Courtney Dow shot even-par 72 and is now tied for 25th at 147 (+3). Andrea Jonama shot a 4-over 76 and is tied for 42nd at 151 (+7)
 
No. 4 Florida State leads the tournament with an 18-under 558, followed by No. 13 South Carolina at -15.
 
The Aggies tee off in the final round of the Florida State Match-Up on Sunday at 7:54 a.m. CT.
