BISHOP, Ga. – The No. 1 Texas A&M equestrian team fell to No. 5 Georgia, 12-4, Saturday at the UGA Equestrian Complex.

Georgia took a 4-1 lead following Equitation over Fences. Junior Rachel Hake recorded the lone point for the Aggies (7-3, 3-2 SEC) with an 84-69 victory over Liza Finsness. The Washington, Mich., native leads the team with eight wins in the event.

In Horsemanship, senior Kaci Fisher and junior Avery Ellis earned their eighth win of the season. Fisher defeated Graysen Stroud, 68.5-67, before Ellis topped Payton Anderson, 76-73, to earn MOP honors. Senior Rachel Lucht and junior Bailey Cook tied their point.

Following a 4-0 defeat in Equitation on the Flat, sophomore Haley Franc defeated Charley Thiel, 70-68.5. Franc has won her last four points and is third on the team with six wins.

The Aggies return to action March 4 against No. 4 Auburn at 11 a.m. at the Hildebrand Equine Complex.
