Eight Texas A&M divers seek NCAA qualification at Zone D Championships

Noticeably missing from the Aggies' Zone D roster is three-time team diving MVP Madison Hudkins, who announced her retirement after the 2017 Southeastern Conference Championships. Hudkins, a senior from Murrieta, Calif., has courageously battled chronic knee injuries during her career at Texas A&M. In the final competition of her career, Hudkins earned a bronze medal in the three-meter dive and an 11th-place effort in the one-meter dive to help the Aggies to the SEC crown for a second straight year. Hudkins earned honorable mention All-America honors at the 2016 NCAA Championships with a 16th place finish in the one-meter dive.

The Zone D Championships are one of five zone meets with the others being contested in Blacksburg, Va. / hosted by Virginia Tech (Zone A), Auburn, Ala. / hosted by Auburn (Zone B),  Bloomington, Ind. / hosted by Indiana (Zone C) and Flagstaff, Ariz. / hosted by Northern Arizona (Zone E).
