BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Texas A&M junior Cameron Champ earned Co-SEC Men's Golfer of the Week accolades Wednesday, the league office announced.

Champ (68-71-71=210, -6) finished in fifth place at the Bandon Dunes Championship in Bandon, Ore., which concluded Tuesday, to card his fourth top-10 showing of the season and lower his stroke average to 72.00 in 21 rounds. Â

During play in the Pacific Northwest, the Sacramento, Calif., native notched a pair of eagles as well as 10 birdies to come in under par during all three round of the tournament, giving him 12 total rounds of par or lower on the year. In contention throughout the event, he finished just four shots back of medalist Hannes Ronneblad of Texas Tech (-10).

Champ and his Aggie teammates return to the course March 19-21 when they take their swings during the Valspar Collegiate Invitational on Floridian National Golf Course at Palm City, Fla.
