INDIANAPOLIS – The Texas A&M men's swimming and diving team will send its largest group of competitors since 2012 to the 2017 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championship, which will be contested Wednesday through Saturday at the IU Natatorium on the IUPUI campus.

The Aggies appear well-equipped to build on last season's 25th place finish at national meet with 10 competitors on the 2017 NCAA Championship roster – eight swimmers and two divers. Included among those 10 Aggies are three that earned first-team or honorable mention All-America honors at last year's NCAA meet – divers Tyler Henschel and Sam Thornton and swimmer Mauro Castillo. Henschel was eighth in the three-meter springboard and 16th in the platform dive. Thornton was 16th in the one-meter dive and Castillo was 10th in the 200-yard breaststroke.

Also among the Aggies' 10 participants are 10 school records, including both medley relays, six individual races and two diving school standards. Senior Cory Bolleter owns the school record in the 50 freestyle, junior Brock Bonetti holds the 100 and 200 backstroke records, Castillo has the school standards in the 100 and 200 breaststroke and the 200 IM and Henschel owns the three-meter springboard and platform records. The relay foursome of Bonetti, Castillo, senior Turker Ayar and Bolleter set the 200 and 400 medley relay records at the 2017 SEC Championships.
