Aggies Selected As Fifth Seed for NCEA Championship

COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M Equestrian team was selected as the fifth seed for the 2017 National Collegiate Equestrian Association National Championship, as announced by the NCEA Selection Committee Wednesday.

COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M Equestrian team was selected as the fifth seed for the 2017 National Collegiate Equestrian Association National Championship, as announced by the NCEA Selection Committee Wednesday.
 
The Aggies will take on No. 12 Delaware State in the first round of action on April 13 at the Extraco Events Center in Waco, Texas.
 
Texas A&M and Delaware State previously squared off this season on November 10 in College Station, where the Aggies won, 18-2. The Maroon and White swept MOP honors as Anna Rea won in Equitation on the Flat, Kai DeVoglaer won in Equitation Over Fences, Kaci Fisher earned honors in Horsemanship and Haley Franc won in Reining.
 
Baylor, Georgia, Auburn and Oklahoma State will receive first round byes as the top-four seeds. South Carolina is the sixth seed, followed by Fresno State, SMU, TCU, New Mexico State, South Dakota State and Delaware State.
