No. 21 Women's Golf In Second After 36 Holes At The Brickyard Collegiate

MACON, Ga.- No. 21 Texas A&M is in second place after the first two rounds of the Brickyard Collegiate, hosted by Mercer. The Aggies trail No. 9 Furman by three strokes heading into Tuesday's final round.

MACON, Ga.- No. 21 Texas A&M is in second place after the first two rounds of the Brickyard Collegiate, hosted by Mercer. The Aggies trail No. 9 Furman by three strokes heading into Tuesday's final round.
 
Four Aggies are in the Top 20 individually after the first day, as the Aggies shot an 11-over 587 over two rounds on The Brickyard Golf Club. The Aggies shot 294 (+6) in the first round, and 293 (+5) in the second.
 
"We had good performances as a team today, which puts us in position to contend tomorrow," said Texas A&M head coach Trelle McCombs. "We had steady performances up and down the lineup today."
 
Senior Thanya Pattamakijsakul is tied for second, one stroke off the lead at 145 (+1) after shooting 72-73 on the par 72 / 6,269 yard course. Teammate Maddie Szeryk is one stroke behind her, shooting 72-74=146 (+2) to sit in a tie for ninth. Bianca Fabrizio is 3-over after shooting 74-73, tying for 13th.
 
Chloe Velasco, whose day was highlighted by a hole-in-one on the 175-yard 14th hole, shot a 75-73, and is tied for 20th after two rounds. Andrea Jonama rounded out the Aggie lineup, with a 81-79=160 (+16), tying for 60th.
