Fifteen Aggies Earn NCEA Academic Honors

WACO, Texas – Fifteen members of the Texas A&M Equestrian team earned academic awards as announced by the National Collegiate Equestrian Association on Wednesday.

WACO, Texas – Fifteen members of the Texas A&M Equestrian team earned academic awards as announced by the National Collegiate Equestrian Association on Wednesday.
 
Bailey Cook, Kai DeVoglaer and Kaci Fisher were named to the American Quarter Horse Association NCEA Academic First Team, which is given to those who have competed in a minimum of 70 percent of the school's meets, while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
 
Alex Desiderio earned a spot on the AQHA NCEA Academic Second Team, given to those who have competed in a minimum of 60 percent of the school's meets while, maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.25.
 
Madison Bohman, Rebekah Chenelle, Rachel Lucht, Sarah McEntire, Sarah Orsak and Anna Rea were named to the AQHA Academic Honorable Mention Team. Student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of the school's meets and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
 
Emily Davis, Ashton Dunkel, Madison Malsch, Katie Resnick and Courtney Weisbart were named to the American Paint Horse Association NCEA Academic Honor Roll, given to top academic student-athletes who have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.25.
