Four Texas A&M women's golfers were honored by the SEC on Thursday, highlighted by Maddie Szeryk's third straight selection to the All-SEC First Team. Bianca Fabrizio was named Second Team All-SEC, Courtney Dow was selected to the SEC All-Freshman Team and Callie Scheffler was named to the SEC Community Service Team.
Szeryk has been named First Team All-SEC in all three of her seasons on campus, making her the first Aggie with three all-conference selections since current Texas A&M volunteer assistant Katerina Ruzickova in 2010-12. Szeryk leads the SEC, and ranks fourth in the nation, with a 70.54 stroke average, and is on pace to break the Texas A&M single-season record.
Fabrizio was selected to the Second Team All-SEC, marking her second career All-SEC honor. Fabrizio, who was a first team selection in 2015, ranks seventh in the SEC with a 71.75 scoring average, which ranks 24th in the nation and third for a single-season at Texas A&M.
Courtney Dow was named to the SEC All-Freshman team after averaging 72.88 strokes in 2016-17, the fourth-best mark among SEC freshmen. Dow joins Szeryk and Marijosse Navarro as Aggies selected to the SEC All-Freshman team.
Callie Scheffler was named to the SEC Community Service Team for the third straight season. Scheffler, who serves as the president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, is one of the most active student-athletes on campus, contributing her time to Aggies CAN, Hard Hats for Little Heads, Aggies Athletes Involved, the AAI Coat Drive, and reading to local elementary school students.
The Aggies tee off in the NCAA Columbus Regional on May 8.
