Two Texas A&M national champions, Danielle Adams (Connecticut) and Sydney Colson (San Antonio) are on WNBA rosters as the season starts on Saturday.

Adams, the Most Outstanding Player of the 2011 Final Four when she was at Texas A&M, is making her first appearance in the league since 2015. Adams, who averages 11.4 points and 4.3 rebounds for her WNBA career, scored 11.3 points per game in the preseason to make the roster. The Sun tip off the 2017 season by hosting Atlanta at 6 p.m. CT.

Colson, who earned All-America honors while leading the Aggies to the 2011 NCAA title, is back for her third season with the Stars. Colson averaged 5.1 points and 2.6 assists in 2016 for the Stars, her second season with the squad after a three-year hiatus from the league. Colson and the Stars open at 2 p.m. CT Saturday at New York, with television coverage on NBA TV.
