Champ Tied for 17th Heading into U.S. Open Final Round

With 54 holes of the 2017 U.S. Open in the books, Texas A&M's Cameron Champ continues to stand out among professional golf's elite by ending Saturday in a tie for 17th at four-under par.

ERIN, Wisconsin — With 54 holes of the 2017 U.S. Open in the books, Texas A&M's Cameron Champ continues to stand out among professional golf's elite by ending Saturday in a tie for 17th at four-under par.
 
Competing for a third straight day at Erin Hills, the Sacramento, Calif., native (70-69-73=212, -4) struggled his opening holes to make the turn at four-over par before rallying on the back nine with four birdies and four pars. Champ continues to be the highest-ranking amateur in the field.
 
Brian Harman, meanwhile, sits atop the leaderboard at 12-under par.
 
Champ will conclude his run at the 2017 U.S. Open on Sunday when he tees off the final round at 12:53 p.m. (CT). He will be paired alongside Jamie Lovemark. Results and live scoring can be found at www.usopen.com.
