VALENCIA, Spain- Texas A&M used a 22-1 second quarter run to defeat the combined team from Valencia 103-43 in a women's basketball game at Pavello Municipal Font de San Luis Saturday. The Aggies improve to 2-0 in Spain.

The Aggies were led by Chennedy Carter, who had 24 points and eight rebounds, and Anriel Howard, who scored 21 points with 20 rebounds. Khaalia Hillsman added 14 points and Danni Williams had 13 to round out four Texas A&M players in double figures.

"I thought we did a little better job in the second half of running the transition and secondary break," said Texas A&M associate head coach Kelly Bond-White, who was acting as head coach in this game, as planned before the trip. "I'm really proud of our kids of making the extra pass tonight. They were real unselfish."

The Aggies, who trailed 19-18 after one period, started the second frame with a 22-1 run that spanned nearly eight and a half minutes. The Aggies led 40-22 at the break, and steadily expanded their lead through the second half.

Prior to the game, Texas A&M freshman N'dea Jones was surprised by her father Tony, who made the trip to Valencia to watch the game. She had five points and eight rebounds and started the contest.

With the win, the Aggies improve to 10-1 in foreign tours under Gary Blair.
