WJ: I want to start by talking about safeties, but really the guys after Armani Watts and Donovan Wilson. Do you feel like you're building depth there?

"Yeah, you know we've got two true freshmen, Keldrick Carper and Derrick Tucker, who can play. But there is a guy thrown in there who played last year, Larry Pryor, who'll probably be the first safety in. After Armani and Donovan, if something happens, Larry will go play. But the two freshmen are coming along also."

WJ: At corner, who has impressed you thus far?

"Cliff (Chattman), who moved over there, has had a really good (camp). Of course Charles Oliver, who played a little bit there last year. And then we've got a couple freshmen who've stepped up in Myles Jones and Debione Renfro. So we feel real good about our situation at corner. We've got a couple of guys who are redshirt freshmen/sophomores, so we've got about six corners that we'll work with and keep them competing."

WJ: The game in the Rose Bowl is coming up against UCLA…do you feel like you're getting closer and closer to a solid group in the secondary as a whole that will be ready for that game?

"Oh, there's no doubt. The guys are practicing well, they're staying focused in the meeting, taking notes well. What UCLA does on offense…they've had a change at coordinator, so we're preparing for a little bit of everything right now. And the guys are picking it up really well."
