COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M Aggies were slotted at No. 10 in the week three United Soccer Coaches Poll released Tuesday afternoon.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M Aggies were slotted at No. 10 in the week three United Soccer Coaches Poll released Tuesday afternoon.

It marks the 22nd consecutive year the Aggies have appeared in the Top 10 of a nationally recognized poll at some point during the season.

After being undervalued and unranked in the United Soccer Coaches (formerly the National Soccer Coaches Association of America) preseason rankings, Texas A&M has made a steady rise up the poll this season. The Maroon & White debuted at No. 16 following opening weekend victories against Pepperdine and San Diego. The following Monday they moved up to No. 12 despite having their only scheduled match canceled due to Hurricane Harvey.

The push moved forward again this week as the Aggies moved up two spots following a 2-2 draw with then-No. 19 Oklahoma State and a 2-0 victory against DePaul.

Two other SEC teams joined the Aggies in top 10 including South Carolina at No. 7 and Florida at No. 9.

With a 3-0-1 mark, the Aggies are unbeaten through four matches for the third time in the last four seasons. Texas A&M has posed three shutouts on the year and sport a 0.47 goals-against average.

Texas A&M returns to action Friday as the Aggies host Butler in a 7 pm contest at Ellis Field. On Sunday, the Maroon & White face another Top 25 foe with a match at No. 19 Kansas.
