Texas A&M defenders Otaro Alaka and Armani Watts were named to the Southeastern Conference "Team of the Week" by Pro Football Focus for their strong play in Saturday's 45-21 win over Louisiana at Kyle Field.

Alaka, a junior from Houston, Texas, contributed six tackles, including a tackle for loss of three yards, and a quarterback hurry according to official stats. According to PFF's analytics, Alaka had three QB pressures, three run stops and allowed just one catch for four yards into his coverage. He is PFF's highest graded linebacker in the conference.

Watts, a senior from Forney, Texas, posted the first two-interception game of his career and also had eight tackles, including two tackles for loss. The pickoffs were the seventh and eighth of his career, which are the most by an Aggie in a decade. PFF graded Watts' performance on Saturday at 87.9, which ranked No. 8 among all safeties in the Football Bowl Subdivision.
