LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Seven members of the Texas A&M softball team were named National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Scholar-Athletes, it was announced Tuesday.
To qualify for the honor, student-athletes must have earned a 3.5 grade-point average for the 2016-17 academic year.
Garnering the honors for the Aggies were Kaitlyn Alderink, Reagan Boenker, Celena Massey, Erica Russell, Riley Sartain, Tori Vidales and Ashley Walters.
The Aggies are coming off their eighth NCAA Women's College World Series appearance and return 15 letterwinners from last year's squad.
