COLLEGE STATION, Texas – In conjunction with October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Texas A&M volleyball team will hold its annual "Dig Pink" fundraiser match on Sunday, Oct. 15 when the Aggies play host to SEC rival Auburn at Reed Arena. First serve is set for 1:30 p.m., and all fans wearing pink to the match can purchase tickets at the entrance for only $3.
The Aggies are currently accepting donations for their "Dig Pink" initiative and encourage fans to visit their online fundraiser page, https://giving.side-out.org/campaigns/12987. All funds raised will be donated to The Side-Out Foundation and applied toward a clinical trial specifically for patients with Stage 4 breast cancer, the most advanced form of the disease and the least funded area of research.
The first 1,000 fans in attendance on Sunday will receive pink 12th Man Towels, and fans wearing pink in support of the cause can enjoy FREE pink lemonade from concessions. The pink lemonade will be available at the stands across from sections 107 and 119.
Like all Sunday matches this season, the pre-match Kids Court in the volleyball practice gym on the ground floor of Reed Arena will be open from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. The free youth entertainment will include a bounce house, face painting, balloon animals and volleyball fun.
Additionally, adults are able to purchase a full price ticket and bring up to four kids to the match free of charge. The Take a Kid to the Match ticket offer is available for all Sunday matches at the ticket window on match day. This offer is not available in advance.
