Texas A&M Men’s Tennis Set to Host Texas ITA Regional

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M men's tennis team will welcome athletes from schools across the state to the 2017 Texas ITA Regional Championships Presented by Oracle to the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center. Matches will begin Thursday and are scheduled through Monday's singles and doubles championship matches.
 
The Aggies will be represented by a quartet of singles players and one doubles team. Freshman Juan Carlos Aguilar is set to face off against Cole Lawson of Abilene Christian, sophomore Kevin Lam will challenge Benjamin Schweizer of Lamar, No. 108 AJ Catanzariti will take on Joey Vatanadolik of Incarnate Word and No. 36 Jordi Arconada will duel against Kai Breitbach of UTSA. Arconada and Lam will team up to match up against Mohamed Abdel-Aziz and Jacob Halle Eskeland of Rice.
 
Friday's matches are set to kick off with the first round of doubles at 9:00 a.m. (CT) followed by singles matches at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. The doubles round of 16 is set for 9:00 a.m. (CT) on Saturday followed by the quarterfinals at 10:00 a.m. The singles round of 32 is slated for 12:00 p.m. Saturday followed by the round of 16 at 3:00 p.m.
